This presentation provides an overview of IMS and its past, present and future; presents the IMS architecture with brief descriptions of the major functional elements and interfaces; explains how IMS security works in a mobile communication environment; provides a few examples on how IMS enables new services; identifies key areas of current IMS standardization.
Speaker Biography:
Hugh Shieh has over 15 years of experience in data communication and telecommunication industry. He was one of the key contributors to the original industry development forum for IMS. For the past 8 years, he has been representing AT&T in various industrial standards bodies, such as, 3GPP, IETF, IEEE, etc.
