Correlation function for object detection on a rough surface

We study of angular correlation function using received signal from two or more sensors to improve detection of an object on a random rough surface.  We concentrate our effort on a detection problem for a target on a random rough surface.  We analyze the correlation of scattered waves from two locations and formulate the angular correlation function.  Then, we employ this angular correlation function for detection of a target on random rough surface.  We also analyze the probability of detection and probability of false alarm and compare them with conventional method based on backscattering radar cross section.
