UW Workshop on Compact Model Compiler for Circuit Simulation

UW Compact Model Compiler for Circuit Simulation Workshop will take place in University of Washington, Seattle, WA on November 6-7, 2003.

The workshop will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 6, end at 12:00 pm on Friday, November 7, and will be held on campus of University of Washington in Electrical Engineering building, room 303.

The workshop will cover MCAST model compiler and will be focused at researchers who work on compact model development for semiconductor and multi-physics devices in application to mixed-signal mixed-technology systems-on-chips.

The specific purpose of this workshop is to demonstrate how a device or multi-physics compact model can be written in a high level behavioral language VHDL-AMS/Verilog-A and compiled automatically into a circuit simulator. We will show how this process, which typically takes 1-2 years, can be reduced with model compiler to a few days.

The workshop will include:

  1. Introduction to MCAST
  2. Brief VHDL-AMS tutorial
  3. Compact device models
  4. Multi-physics models
  5. Hands-on training (in computer class) on using MCAST and including new models into your SPICE simulation

A block of rooms is reserved for MCAST event at Silver Cloud Inn University hotel until October 24, 2003. The hotel is located at:
